Bo Helsel

NHS Baseball Head Coach

Meet Bo Helsel, a dedicated educator and baseball coach with a heart for impacting young lives. Bo boasts nine years of teaching experience, all of which have been dedicated to the Neosho School District.

Bo's educational journey began at Southwest Baptist University, where he studied Communications (Public Relations). His passion for making a difference in the lives of students led him to education, and today, he's equally committed to his roles as a classroom teacher and Head Baseball Coach.

What Bo cherishes most about education is witnessing the moment when a student conquers a challenging problem, their face lighting up with understanding. Bo has been coaching for nine years, and his favorite aspect of coaching is being surrounded by athletes who strive to improve themselves in their sport.

Bo's mission as a coach is to instill confidence and a sense of giving back to others in his athletes. He takes immense pride in the strong community support that Neosho offers, making it the best place to be in Missouri.

Notably, last year, Bo led a remarkable group of kids to their first winning season in seven years, a testament to his dedication and coaching prowess.

Fun Fact: Bo Helsel is a left-hander and was named after the legendary Bo Jackson.
