  • Business & Entrepreneurship

    This course is designed for students interested in business. Students will be mentored by real employers and gain marketable professional skills. This course will provide students with a challenging, innovative, authentic, experiential learning environment. This course offers the opportunity to explore a variety of career options in business. Students will also work with professionals on real-world projects and programs. The development of professional soft skills will be a focus throughout the year.

    Dual enrolled credit is provided through Crowder College.

     

  • Medicine & Healthcare

    This course will immerse students in the world of Healthcare. Expanding on the principles of human physiology through access to current medical professionals, up-to-date research, and hands-on experiences within the field of Healthcare. They will develop fluency in basic medical language, work closely with patients, and practice physical assessment skills and other medical treatments under the guidance of medical and health professionals. Students will be exposed to hospital administration principles, as well as marketing, public relations, and other concepts applied to healthcare management. Students will apply knowledge to real-world problems facing medicine, health and wellness companies. The development of professional soft skills will be a focus throughout the year.

  • Teacher Education

    This course is designed for students interested in a teaching career. Innovative thinking is needed and you can participate in a meaningful way through practical teaching experiences.  Students will be immersed within schools in our district.  The expectations for being a teacher are changing rapidly.  Learn what works in the classroom, interact with students and all grade levels, and create tools for student success.  The development of professional soft skills will be a focus throughout the year.
