NHS Cheer Head Coach

Korra Ackerson is a dedicated professional who wears two hats within the Neosho School District. As a School Psychologist, Korra brings four years of experience in education and a strong academic background, with degrees in Psychology (BS), Counseling (MS), and Diagnosis Specialist from Missouri State University.

Korra didn't know she wanted to work in education, but she had a clear calling to work with children and youth. Her passion lies in investing in the younger generation.

Beyond her role as a School Psychologist, Korra serves as the Head Coach for the NHS Cheerleading squad. With three years of coaching experience, she cherishes the opportunity to coach young girls in life, helping shape their desires to become contributing members of society.

Korra's coaching philosophy goes beyond cheerleading routines; she strives to instill in her athletes the belief that they are capable of accomplishing anything they set their minds to. Her coaching support is unwavering, and she believes in her athletes' potential.

In recognition of her outstanding dedication to students of all abilities, Korra received the Outstanding Student Advocate Award from MSU. She is also certified in Play Therapy.
