Parents As Teachers

Parents as Teachers is a free and evidence-based home visiting program that focuses on child development and the importance of parent-child interaction. The time between birth and kindergarten is an important time in the areas of language, cognitive, social emotional and motor development.

Personalized home visits are available for children as early as birth up to kindergarten entry.

During our visits, a certified parent educator will share child development information and discuss topics such as sleep, discipline, health, nutrition and safety. Along with the provided information from your educator, there will also be a parent-child activity and story chosen for each personal home visit that fits specifically to your family. Although personal visits are most beneficial when held in the home, they can be completed at our PAT office when requested.
